Bryan E. Smith is a lifelong Macon County, Illinois resident and candidate for Macon County Clerk. He began his public service career at age 19 when he was elected Long Creek Township Clerk in 1985 — the youngest elected township official in Illinois at the time. He served 35 years at the Township Officials of Illinois, including 25 years as Executive Director/CEO, and 18 years as an elected member of the Macon County Board. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Millikin University.

County Clerk candidate Bryan Smith attended the Open House on May 20th for the new Decatur baseball team, the Decatur Bean Ballers. Smith enjoyed meeting staff and others associated with the team. He enjoyed visiting with several city officials as well as Mike Mose who is now coaching at Millikin and Jacob Watkins who is working for the team franchise.
