Bryan E. Smith is a lifelong Macon County, Illinois resident and candidate for Macon County Clerk. He began his public service career at age 19 when he was elected Long Creek Township Clerk in 1985 — the youngest elected township official in Illinois at the time. He served 35 years at the Township Officials of Illinois, including 25 years as Executive Director/CEO, and 18 years as an elected member of the Macon County Board. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Millikin University.

County Clerk candidate Bryan Smith attended Woofstock on July 11 at The Barn in Niantic. He was able to meet many attendees and talk about the campaign as well as give each dog who came by a Frisbee.
