Bryan E. Smith is a lifelong Macon County, Illinois resident and candidate for Macon County Clerk. He began his public service career at age 19 when he was elected Long Creek Township Clerk in 1985 — the youngest elected township official in Illinois at the time. He served 35 years at the Township Officials of Illinois, including 25 years as Executive Director/CEO, and 18 years as an elected member of the Macon County Board. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Millikin University.

County Clerk Candidate Bryan Smith and a group of supporters participated in the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Decatur on Saturday, March14. A good time was had by all who carried signs, passed out candy and gave away goodies for Clerk Candidate Bryan Smith. Afterwards several attended the community party at the old KC Hall.
