Bryan E. Smith is a lifelong Macon County, Illinois resident and candidate for Macon County Clerk. He began his public service career at age 19 when he was elected Long Creek Township Clerk in 1985 — the youngest elected township official in Illinois at the time. He served 35 years at the Township Officials of Illinois, including 25 years as Executive Director/CEO, and 18 years as an elected member of the Macon County Board. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Millikin University.

Smith Attends and Joins Decatur Health Innovation Alliance

County Clerk candidate Bryan Smith enjoyed a great evening at Decatur Memorial Hospital at the invitation of CEO Tanya Andricks and Paul Lidy to join the Decatur Health Innovation Alliance. It was amazing to see their new robotic bronchoscopy platform, their Lung Nodule Clinic and their image-guided treatments for vascular disease and cancer. The technology is simply amazing. It was also nice to meet several new doctors and Dr. Steve Arnold whose wife Sherri served on the Macon County Mental Health Board for several years with Smith. Thank you DMH!
