Bryan E. Smith is a lifelong Macon County, Illinois resident and candidate for Macon County Clerk. He began his public service career at age 19 when he was elected Long Creek Township Clerk in 1985 — the youngest elected township official in Illinois at the time. He served 35 years at the Township Officials of Illinois, including 25 years as Executive Director/CEO, and 18 years as an elected member of the Macon County Board. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Millikin University.

He has been directly involved in budgeting for the County Clerk's office and has trained officials across Illinois on government law compliance.

County Clerk candidate Bryan Smith attended the 3rd Annual Summer Soirée at The Beach House hosted by the Macon County Democratic Central Committee on July 8. It was great speaking and visiting with so many enthusiastic people about the November election. Bryan was pleased to even find a few “fans” in the crowd!
