Bryan E. Smith is a lifelong Macon County, Illinois resident and candidate for Macon County Clerk. He began his public service career at age 19 when he was elected Long Creek Township Clerk in 1985 — the youngest elected township official in Illinois at the time. He served 35 years at the Township Officials of Illinois, including 25 years as Executive Director/CEO, and 18 years as an elected member of the Macon County Board. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Millikin University.

County Clerk candidate Bryan Smith participated in the Warrensburg Corn Fest parade on July 18. Also participating were County Board Candidates Kasey Holt and Michelle Wayne from District 5. It was a very hot parade but it was great to see so many smiling faces.
